The clean is a hinge, not a curl. Tame the arc — the bell should land softly in the rack, not bang your forearm.
Cues
- Hinge to clean, punch up to press
- Bell rotates around the wrist on the catch
- Lock out overhead with biceps near ears
Common mistakes
- Banging the forearm on the rack
- Pressing before the clean settles

Skip with shoulder impingement.
Progression
Add 4kg when 8 clean reps land each side.
